Nevertheless, the band themselves haven't actually released anything major since their 2015 record Choose Your Weapon - a six-year drought that ends today with the release of their new single Get Sun. Paak, Kendrick Lamar and Chance The Rapper have worked with the band in various forms, whether it be collaboratively-speaking or simply through sampling.
Their members are dotted amongst projects spanning internationally, whether it be through full solo projects - like that of Nai Palm - or their contribution to some of the biggest hip-hop records of the last decade Beyoncé and Jay Z sampling a track on their EVERYTHING IS LOVE record, while others including Drake, Anderson. Even if their only release since 2015 was a charity Christmas cover at the tail-end of last year, Hiatus Kaiyote have continued to leave a lasting legacy as one of Australia's pinnacle acts.
